The Bioinformatics Module SS workshop is taught over 3 days and has both lecture and hands-on activities. The lectures will cover a range of sanger sequencing topics from primer design to introductory sequence analysis, as well as the molecular classification and diagnostics of a wide range of pathogens including bacteria, fungi, nematodes, Phytoplasmas, viruses and Phytophthora species.

The Department of Plant Pathology at the University of Georgia (UGA) seeks to hire a Plant Disease Diagnostician to operate the Plant Disease Clinic at the UGA Tifton Campus. This is a fiscal-year (12-month), 95% Extension/5% service position at the rank of Public Service Assistant (non-tenure track faculty position).
