The NC State Plant Disease and Insect Clinic (PDIC) is searching for a plant pathologist to join the lab as a full-time diagnostician. Responsibilities of this position include diagnosing vegetable crops (including tomatoes, peppers, cucurbits, cole crops, sweetpotatoes, potatoes, herbs and other hosts) and performing molecular analyses for the lab. Good communication and customer service skills are needed, as findings will be reported to clients, including possible management recommendations. The diagnostician will also participate in outreach and other extension/education events, as well as attend to other basic lab responsibilities.
